Summer Check In

Due to Covid-19 health mandates our annual in person summer check in is cancelled. Information will be mailed home later this month regarding your parent portal, purchasing P.E. clothes via our web store, and the first day of school. In the meantime we ask all incoming 7th grade families to view our "Incoming 7th Grade Students" page for information regarding necessary immunizations and a general supply list.

Fall 2020 School Reopening Update

At the July 16 Governing Board meeting the Board adopted a modified 2020 Fall Action Plan for the start of school that temporarily calls for online learning. The Governing Board acted to authorize the following: 1. Classes will begin on August 11, 2020, in an online format. 2. CUSD will continue to comply with LA County Health Order requirements as a means to keep students, staff, and families safe and to minimize the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. 3. Bring students back to campus as quickly as it is deemed safe to do so. 4. Staff will report to work as assigned for the start of the school year. We have been preparing for this possibility and will be ready to start the school year in a 100% distance learning model. Distance learning will include regular schedules for students with live instruction, regular grading, and attendance. Schools will also evaluate learning loss and provide extra support when necessary. We will continue to provide specific details over the next several weeks.
