Seven Santa Clarita Valley schools were selected, including Academy of the Canyons, Castaic Middle School, La Mesa Junior High School, and Canyon, Castaic, Saugus and West Ranch high schools.
The Governing Board Election will be held on Nov. 3, 2026 by Los Angeles County to elect members to the Governing Boards in Los Angeles County Districts. In the Castaic Union School district, there are three Board members whose terms are expiring: Laura Pearson (Trustee Area B), Vincent Titiriga (Trustee Area D) and Mayreen Burk (Trustee Area E).
Castaic Union School District has announced that Castaic Middle School has been selected as a 2026 California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education, one of the state’s highest honors for public schools.
