this video is to help you set up your Jupiter Ed account Jupiter Ed is where you can monitor your students grades their assignments and you can communicate with your teachers to begin you will need either your temporary password or a link sent to you from the school once you receive that link you will go to jupitered.com and go to the login page please make sure you clicked on parent you'll type the students first and last name in the student field make sure you are on cast a middle school and then for the password you will put your temporary password that was given to you and then click login once you are in it's going to prompt you to change your password to something that you can remember and save password here your first page you can add your email your relationship to your student if it's not already there and you can set your parameters as to how often you would like Jupiter to send you email for instance anytime your student gets a behavior alert you can check that that you get an email message you can email it about your grits students grades and you can say always you could have a email you if a grade in their class reaches D or lower or if they have any missing assignments once you are finished checking off your preferences you hit done there you'll see on the dashboard your students classes to see any of the classes in detail you simply click on the class and here you can see all these diamonds that have been assigned to your student if your student is starting after the first of the year you will see green bubbles next to them which means that those were assigned prior to him or her starting and they will not be responsible for those assignments to change classes and go to a different class you simply come up here to the left-hand corner of the 4 lines click on it and here you will see all the other classes listed and you may switch at any time you may also use jupyter to message your child's teachers here you'll go up to the left hand click on messages and you'll see first on your log any message that your child's teacher sent to the class to email their teacher you click on new message click on the drop-down Arrow and other teachers are listed here you may pick 1 2 message or you can go back and click more also listed here will be your child counselor Miss lotta your child's assistant principal Mr Zuniga Mrs buntic our office manager Mrs Ferrara our assistant office manager and Mrs deck our attendance Clerk simply type in the message to who you want to message and then you hit send you'll be able to see any messages in your log you can also see your child's demerits here to do so you click on the 4 L go down to the behavior log and if there's any demerits that were issued to your child they'll be listed here we highly suggest that parents monitor your child's Jupiter and check in at least once a week students will have their own account and should check in at least every day to catch up on assignments that they may have been missing or just to kind of keep on top of ones that were assigned if you should have any trouble accessing your account please always call the school and we'll be able to help you
